Vietnam, Slovakia enhance ICT cooperation

(VOVworld) - Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and the Information Society Peter Pellegrini signed a MoU on ICT cooperation in Bratislava on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, both sides will boost development cooperation in human resources and training courses, and encourage businesses of each country to invest in the other’s IT sector. Other prioritized sectors will include IT and communications and their application to government activities, network security, hardware and software development, and broadcasting infrastructure.

Cooperation will be conducted via exchanges of delegations, exhibitions, training programs, seminars, and forums.

The same day, an ICT and communications business forum between Vietnam and Slovakia were held, at which State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Economy Vojtech Ferencz said his country is ready for IT enterprises to invest in Vietnam and to welcome Vietnamese businesses to do business in Slovakia.
