Vietnam, South Korea enhance cooperation in science, technology
(VOVWORLD) - Construction of the Vietnam-Republic of Korea Institute of Science and Technology commenced on Thursday in Hanoi’s Hoa Lac High-Tech Park.

The ground-breaking ceremony was cohosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korean International Cooperation Agency and attended by Korean President Moon Jae-in and Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh. Vice President Thinh said that once it is operational, the Institute will play an important role in providing technological solutions for businesses, and become a scientific and technological incubator for domestic industrial sectors: “I hope the Institute, with its new models, methods, and scientific approach, will spread benefits to society. I hope the two sides will work closely together to complete the construction on schedule”.
President Moon called the event a milestone for Korea-supported scientific and technological development in Vietnam, and for close relations between the two countries in all sectors.
