Ha Huy Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Committee for Financial Supervision, said that Vietnam supports the UN’s efforts to improve capacity building and the operational efficiency of global governance institutions. Tuan stressed the need to improve policy coordination among countries and ensure democracy by creating conditions for developing nations to have their say and access more international capital resources to promote growth and reduce poverty. He said Vietnam shares the view that the UN should continue to be the agency that coordinates and promotes cooperation among countries, with a focus on building global partnerships in prioritized areas such as investment, development aid, and the transfer of technology and knowledge between groups of countries. He added that Vietnam welcomes and supports stronger partnerships between the UN and other multilateral institutions such as the G-20 and other regional institutions.
