Vietnam supports nuclear disarmament

(VOVWORLD) - The 10th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) closed in New York on Friday, following 4 weeks of in-depth discussion on international disarmament, non-proliferation and nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. 

Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc, Head of the Vietnamese delegation, reiterated Vietnam’s consistent view to support absolute nuclear weapon disarmament and support the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes while calling for more international effort to resolve common nuclear challenges.

The Vietnamese delegation has closely cooperated with the ASEAN and the Non-Aligned Movement countries to promote their priorities in nuclear disarmament.
