President Sang said that Vietnam and Sri Lanka have enjoyed good political and diplomatic ties, adding that the two countries should work together to further bolster trade and agricultural cooperation to meet both sides’ potentials. He offered sympathy over the difficulties and challenges that Sri Lanka is facing currently, and confirmed that millions of Vietnamese people had to suffer many losses for today’s independence and happiness. Therefore, more than ever, Vietnam respects human rights and humanitarian values. President Sang stressed that all embargo measures are old-fashioned and went against the spirit of people everywhere, adding that cooperation for mutual development is now the dominant trend in the current process of global globalization.
