Nguyen Thi Doan was speaking at a ceremony to mark the 20^th anniversary of the National Committee on Women's Advancement on Thursday: “The committee has strengthened women’s voice in state and government agencies. Over the past 20 years, the committee has supported female deputies in improving their skills to gain more voters’ trust.” The United Nations has hailed Vietnam’s success in fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals, including gender equality and women empowerment.
