(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam held a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Thai Ambassador to Vietnam, Manopchai Vongphakdi, expressed his delight at growing relations over the past four decades.

They have elevated their ties to a strategic partnership covering politics, security, economy, trade, investment, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Ta Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association, said that the two friendship associations have seen flourishing collaboration in recent years.

Marking the occasion, the associations will organise an exchange between Vietnamese and Thai peoples in Thailand in November.
