Vietnam, Thailand strengthen bilateral cooperation

(VOVworld)- On August 10th and 11th, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam paid an official visit to Thailand and attended the Vietnam Cultural Days in Thailand at the invitation of Thai Deputy Prime Minister Tanasak Patimapragon.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister paid a courtesy visit to Thai PM Prayut Chan O cha, during which Dam reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy of respecting its strategic partnership with Thailand. He thanked the Thai government for supporting the Vietnamese community in Thailand. The Thai Prime Minister urged Vietnam and Thailand to further bilateral cooperation.

At a meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and his Thai counterpart Tanasak Patimapragon agreed to increase cooperation and delegation exchanges, strengthen the use of the hotline between the two navies, and bring two way trade to 20 billion USD by 2020. They agreed to facilitate their enterprises to effectively exploit the cooperative mechanism of the Sub-Mekong region and the East-West Economic Corridor, work closely at ASEAN and other regional and global forums.
