Vietnam to host first NASA space week ​in Southeast Asia

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will become the first Southeast Asian country to host NASA space week, according to a press conference in HCM city on Monday.

Vietnam Space Week, to be jointly held in several southern localities in coordination with the US’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), will highlight NASA’s achievements in civil space and space exploration.

Visitors will have the chance to meet former NASA astronauts and experience space exploration and participate in STEM activities.

“This event is expected to inspire young people in innovation, science and technology, and education,” said Lam Nguyen Hai Long, the Chairman of the HCM city Computer Association. 

Vietnam Space Week will take place in Hau Giang province, HCM city and Binh Dinh province between June 5 and 9.
