Themed “Domestic tourism — driving force to restore Vietnam tourism in the new normal”, the two-day seminar will propose ways to strengthen domestic tourism and combine domestic and international tourism models to boost Vietnam’s tourism in the post-COVID-19 period.

Vu The Binh, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), said at a press briefing in Hanoi on Monday that there's a need for tourism products specifically designed for Vietnamese people as Vietnam boosts domestic tourism. Businesses have been working on new exciting products, he said.

Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that the Tourism Association is working with businesses and localities, especially in Ninh Binh province, host of the National Tourism Year 2021, to reopen tourism activities. He said the Administration will provide travelers with information and ensure their safety during their trips.
