Vietnam trains harder for success at Sea Games, Olympics

(VOVWORLD) -  Vietnam’s national teams need to improve on their past results at the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 30) and qualifying rounds for the 2020 Olympics, said Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien on Tuesday at the Hanoi National Training Centre.

He urged the national men’s and women’s football teams to win gold medals at SEA Games 30 in the Philippines later this year. 

Director of the Training Centre Nguyen Manh Hung said the national teams have been busy preparing to deliver some of the best performances in Southeast Asia. They hope to win at least 40 medals at Sea Games 30 and will step up their training to prepare for Sea Games 31, which will be hosted by Vietnam in 2021.
