Vietnam treasures its relations with Cuba
(VOVWORLD) - The Party, State, and people of Vietnam treasure Cuba’s solidarity and support for Vietnam’s past struggle for national liberation and today’s national construction and defense, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during a phone call with Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez, President of Cuba and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba on Wednesday.
Mr. Trong congratulated Cuba for successfully organizing its 8th National Party Congress. He said the relationship of the two Parties is an important part of the relationship between the two countries. He added that Vietnam is ready to share its experience in renewal and urged both sides to implement their high-level agreements in a way that strengthens the Vietnam-Cuba relationship.
Mr. Bermudez said Cuba’s new administration will do its best to develop the Cuba-Vietnam relationship. He said he believes that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese people will successfully implement its 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution and achieve its target of becoming a wealthy people, a strong country, and a just and civilized society.
