Vietnam, Ukraine fortify traditional friendship
(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese National Assembly delegation, led by National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son, began a 4-day visit to Ukraine Wednesday.

The delegation met with Ukrainian Defence Minister Pavlo Lebedev to strengthen high-level visits between the two ministries of defense, speed up negotiations, and implement contracts and agreements on defense cooperation.
Mr. Son asked Ukraine to provide more scholarships to Vietnamese army officers, share experience in international defense cooperation, and assist Vietnam in preparing for its participation in UN peacekeeping missions. Son hoped that Ukraine will send officials to Vietnam to learn Vietnamese and take professional courses.
Earlier, the delegation visited the Ukrainian National Defense Academy and talked to Vietnamese embassy staff.
