Vietnam, UNODC strengthen cooperation in crime prevention

At a meeting on Tuesday with Ghada Waly, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), who is in Vietnam to attend the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime, known also as the Hanoi Convention, Son called on the UNODC to continue supporting Vietnam in promoting the Hanoi Convention and implementing projects under the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control.
Waly welcomed Vietnam’s initiative to establish a regional training center on cybercrime prevention and affirmed the UNODC’s commitment to cooperating with the Government of Vietnam in establishing and operating the center.
