According to the report, which assesses the total number of visa-free destinations accessible to passport holders, Vietnamese passport holders can travel to 55 destinations without a visa.

This marks an improvement from the previous ranking earlier this year, where Vietnam was placed 88th globally.

In the region, Singapore now holds the most powerful passport, surpassing Japan, with visa exemptions from 192 countries. Germany, Italy, and Spain share the second position with visa-free access to 190 destinations.

Third place is shared by Japan, the Republic of Korea, Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, and Sweden.

The Henley Passport Index relies on data provided by the International Air Transport Association, which maintains the largest and most accurate database of travel information in the world.

The index takes into account 199 passports and 227 global destinations, with updates to the ranking released quarterly.
