(VOVWORLD) - US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman has discussed with Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc ways to advance the US-Vietnam relationship as the two countries mark the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Partnership this year.
The two diplomats met on Thursday in Washington following Mr. Ngoc’s attendance at the US-Vietnam Political, Security, and Defense Dialogue.
They discussed ways to advance shared goals for an open, secure, prosperous, and connected Indo-Pacific region.
Vietnam and the US established a comprehensive partnership in 2013, which has developed in an effective and practical manner.
