(VOVworld)- The Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam and the General Procuracy of Uzbekistan have agreed to strengthen cooperation in combating cross-border crime and terrorism as well as in staff training and information sharing. The two agencies signed a memorandum of understanding on their future cooperation in Hanoi yesterday during a visit to Vietnam by Deputy Director of the Uzbek General Procuracy Khalimov Khakimbai Ashirovich, at the invitation of Vietnamese Prosecutor General Truong Hoa Binh. The cooperation will be based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit while conforming to each country’s laws as well as international commitments made by both sides. Earlier, during talks with Deputy Prosecutor General of the Vietnamese Supreme People’s Procuracy Tran Cong Phan, Deputy Director Khalimov Khakimbai Ashirovich said he hopes the two agencies will continue to boost comprehensive cooperation in the field. The two sides agreed on cooperation orientations in the procuracy sector to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
