Vietnam wants closer cooperation with the US
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Party and State appreciate relations with the US and want to promote the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership in an effective manner, with economic-trade-investment success as the main goal, Nguyen Van Binh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, said at a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for Mitchell Silk, Acting Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury Department.

Mr. Binh called for further discussion to work out a cooperation plan, agree on collaborative projects, and anticipate future challenges.
Mr. Silk pledged to maintain a close partnership with the Vietnamese Party and State to strengthen Vietnam-US relations.
