Vietnam wants increased cooperation with Azerbaijan and Spain

(VOVworld) – The new ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Spain paid courtesy visits to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi on Friday. Prime Minister Dung told Azerbaijan’s ambassador Anar Imanov that Vietnam wants to further develop bilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan in the areas of economics, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges. He welcomed Azerbaijan’s opening of its embassy in Vietnam and said that Vietnam would consider opening an embassy in Azerbaijan soon. Ambassador Imanov said that fostering relations with Vietnam is one of the top priorities in his country’s external policy.

While receiving Spanish ambassador Alfonso Tena Garcia, Prime Minister Dung said that the Vietnamese government would create favorable conditions for Spanish businesses to do long-term business in Vietnam. He also called for Spain’s continued ODA for Vietnam. The Spanish ambassador told Prime Minister Dung that many Spanish businesses are seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam.
