“The visit affirms Vietnam’s determination to maintain fraternal solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and mutual trust between the two Parties, States, and people. During the visit, leaders of the two countries will assess bilateral ties and discuss ways to foster and deepen the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba in economy, trade, investment, and other areas,” said Mr. Tung.

Ambassador Tung said Vietnam-Cuba relations are special. Vietnam will always stand by Cuba, share its experience in national development, and help Cuba ensure food security. Vietnam is Cuba’s second largest trade partner and biggest investor from the Asia-Pacific region.

In the fight against COVID-19, Vietnam and Cuba have always supported each other with gifts and assistance packages, he said.
