Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the UN, WTO, and other international organizations in Geneva Le Thi Tuyet Mai addressed the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSCOC)’s meeting on humanitarian activities for 2023 at the UN’s headquarter in Geneva this week.

She affirmed that Vietnam shares the same concerns and will join hands with the international community in solving the global food crises that are threatening the life of hundreds of millions people worldwide, especially those in underdeveloped countries and affected by conflicts, natural disasters, epidemics, and climate change.

To deal with the global challenge of food insecurity, it is important to promote multilateral cooperation to find comprehensive and global solutions, Ambassador Mai said.
