Vietnam worried about COVID-19 in Syria

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Syria, partly due to the COVID-19, said Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese delegation to the United Nations, during a UN Security Council videoconference on Wednesday.

The Ambassador underscored the need to ensure full, continuous and unobstructed humanitarian access to all regions in Syria and called on all parties to guarantee security and support the delivery of humanitarian supplies.

Hai Anh urged the international community to support Syria’s COVID-19 response to limit the pandemic’s adverse effects on the already serious humanitarian situation in Syria.
