Vietnam-Cambodia friendship monument inaugurated in Svay Rieng

(VOVWORLD) - A Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument was inaugurated on Thursday in Cambodia’s Svay Rieng province.

It’s the 23rd monument built in Cambodia to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, Vietnamese volunteers, and Cambodian soldiers who shed their blood to help save the Cambodian nation from genocide.
The monument was built at a cost of about 1.4 million USD. Five more monuments will be inaugurated in Cambodia next year, which marks the 55th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
