Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange begins
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Defense Minister Ngo Xuan Lich visited and planted trees at the Border Guard Company in Shuikou town as part of the 5th Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange that opened on Monday in Longzhou county, in China’s Guangxi province.

He then visited the Shuikou town school and a local memorial house dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh.
Mr. Lich and Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe co-chair the exchange program, which also takes place in Phuc Hoa district, in Vietnam’s Cao Bang province until Wednesday.
The two ministers held talks on Monday in Guangxi where they also reviewed five years of the border defense friendship exchange, which aims to enhance political trust, build friendship and solidarity, and promote cooperation between border guards, authorities, and people from border localities of the two countries.
