(VOVworld) - The awards ceremony for a quiz competition challenging contestants’ knowledge of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties was held on Saturdya in Hanoi. The competition, organized by the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association in collaboration with Radio the Voice of Vietnam, was open to all Vietnamese citizens. Pham Tien Tu, Vice President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association and head of the competition’s organizing board, said: "The competition’s encouraging results reflect the sentiment and solidarity between Vietnamese and Cuban people. It has contributed to improving the knowledge of Vietnamese people, especially the young ones, of Cuba, its people and achievements over the past half decade."

Hermnio Lopez Diaz is Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam: "We’re very happy with the contest’s results and to see that the Cuban-Vietnamese relations are being preserved and promoted by the young generations of Vietnam. We know that many Vietnamese friends have loved and closely followed our development. I believe that our friendship, solidarity, and bilateral ties will further develop." 
One first prize of 1,300 USD was presented to the Sao Vang Group team while two second prizes of 650 USD each went to the team from the Nhiet Huyet Group and Hoang Thi Thu Trang from Ho Chi Minh City.
