Vietnamese are safe in Italy, France amid Covid-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese embassies in Italy and France are closely supervising the Covid-19 epidemic and preparing measures to protect Vietnamese citizens. 

The embassies have constantly updated information about epidemic and the protection of Vietnamese citizens. Vietnamese ambassador to Italy Nguyen Thi Bich Hue said that no Vietnamese citizens has been reportedly infected with Covid-19.

“The embassy has implemented drastic measures to prevent the epidemic, especially setting a hotline to support Vietnamese citizens. The embassy has established a crisis settling group, which includes officials taking charge for the community and expats”, Hue said.

The Vietnamese embassy in France on Monday informed all Vietnam’s representative offices and the Vietnamese community of the Covid-19 situation and French authorities’ instructions on diseases prevention. According to the Vietnamese Consulate in France, no Vietnamese citizen is among the nearly 200 Covid-19 infected cases in France.
