Vietnamese citizens brought home from Japan, Canada

(VOVWORLD) - More than 190 Vietnamese citizens were brought home from Japan on Saturday.

Passengers on the Vietnam Airlines flight included the elderly, pregnant women, people with illnesses, stranded tourists, workers with expired labour contracts, and students without accommodations due to school closure.

After landing at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, all the passengers and crew members had their health checked and were taken to a concentrated quarantine centre.

Earlier, 340 Vietnamese citizens were brought home from Canada on a repatriation flight operated by Vietnam Airlines.

This has been the fourth flight organized by the Vietnamese Government to carry Vietnamese citizens home from Canada since April.
