Despite a decrease in production, Vietnam’s coffee export revenue still set a new record high after only 9 months and a half, surpassing the 4.24 billion USD achieved in the previous year, the General Department of Customs said last week.

It said that in just the first 15 days of October, Vietnam exported more than 1.1 tons of coffee, earning a revenue of nearly 126 million USD, an increase of 98%.

The average export price of Vietnamese coffee from the beginning of the year to mid-October reached 3,933 USD per ton, up 56.6% compared to the same period last year.

Vietnam is starting harvesting coffee (from October to the end of December), and the coffee output for the 2024-2025 season is forecast to decrease by up to 10% due to the worst drought in nearly a decade, which lasted from March to early May.
