Vietnamese Embassies in Eastern Europe host Tet gatherings

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia held a banquet in Moscow on Wednesday night to welcome the Lunar New Year and celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnam-Russia diplomatic ties. 

Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh emphasized the significant progress of bilateral ties in politics, economics, security, science, culture, and education. He said political trust was enhanced via delegation exchanges, consultations, and strategic dialogues.

On Tuesday, the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine held a Tet gathering in Kiev, where Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan delivered his best wishes to local Vietnamese and Ukrainian friends. He said he hopes Vietnamese expats in Ukraine will always stay united to preserve their traditional culture and contribute to Ukraine’s development. Ambassador Tuan took this occasion to present Tet gifts to disadvantaged Vietnamese families in Ukraine.

A similar Tet celebration took place on Wednesday in Prague, hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. Ambassador Ho Minh Tuan said Vietnamese expats affairs is prioritized in the action plan of the Embassy, which is working to protect Vietnamese people’s legitimate rights in the Czech Republic.
