Vietnamese embassy, community in Japan celebrate National Day

(VOVWORLD) -More than 100 delegates representing the Vietnamese community in all localities of Japan joined a celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day organized by the Vietnamese Embassy on Sunday evening.

Participants observed a flag-raising ceremony, offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh memorial hall, commemorated the great contributions of predecessors and watched historical documentary of the glorious 80-year journey of Vietnam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu spoke at the event: “The Vietnamese community in Japan has numbered nearly 700,000 people, making it the second largest foreign community in Japan. Vietnamese people are present in all prefectures and cities of Japan. No matter what position they hold, our community has worked hard with credibility, mettle, spirit of overcoming difficulties and aspiration for success.”
