Vietnamese Embassy helps Vietnamese tourists stranded in Nepal

(VOVworld) - Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, says there are about 20 Vietnamese tourists in Nepal.

On Sunday, the Embassy contacted a group of 6 people who are staying in a relief camp following last Saturday’s devastating earthquake in Nepal. The Embassy gave them phones and promised to help them out of Nepal as soon as possible.

The Vietnamese Embassy sent a diplomatic note to the Nepalese Foreign Ministry and is working with the southern department of the Indian Embassy to move stranded Vietnamese tourists to New Delhi and eventually get them home safely.

Nepalese and Indian agencies have agreed to help Vietnamese nationals.
