Vietnamese Embassy in China urged to propose new cooperation mechanisms for both countries

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue underscored the importance of his current visit to Beijing in maintaining the momentum of high-level contacts and strategic exchanges between the two Parties and States.

At a meeting on Sunday with the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in China after arriving in Beijing for an official visit, Mr Hue said the 2023 Vietnam-China Joint Statement has determined a "new positioning" for the two countries’ relations and responsibility in implementing and concretizing the common perceptions between the top leaders of the two Parties and nations to achieve better results, especially in the identified pillars of cooperation.
He said he hopes the Vietnamese Embassy will continue to deliver and promote more effective implementation of existing cooperation mechanisms between Vietnam and China and propose new cooperation mechanisms suitable to the specific conditions of the two countries.

“In addition to the embassy, we have five consulates general in China. The embassy needs to pay more attention to the Vietnamese community which is already big, but still needs to be strong. Greater attention should be paid to building associations and unions,” said Mr. Hue.
He affirmed that the Party and State always consider the Vietnamese community abroad, including in China, an inseparable part of the great national unity bloc, and create conditions to protect overseas Vietnamese.
