Vietnamese enterprises mobilized against corruption

(VOVworld)- Most Vietnamese enterprises are aware of corruption, according to a survey announced in Hanoi today/Wednesday by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Government Inspectorate. The survey queried 270 enterprises in 6 cities and provinces through questionnaires, group discussions, and interviews. "Enterprises play an important role in supporting the efforts of government and social organizations to prevent corruption and successfully implement the country’s socio-economic development strategy under which Vietnam aims to achieve more sustainable economic growth by 2020", said Doan Duy Khuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Workshop participants proposed measures to increase transparency in information, clarify the law, enhance awareness of anti-corruption efforts and develop corporate cultures.
