Vietnamese folk festival opens in Kontum

(VOV) – People in Kontum province have been treated to a Vietnamese folk festival. The festival which opened yesterday aims to seek and preserve folk songs and traditional tunes featuring the central highlands.

Participants included 70 artists from 5 provinces in the central highlands who represented ethnic groups such as Mo Nong, Ma, Chu Ru, K’Ho, Ede, Xe Dang, and Gia Rai. The festival featured 15 folk songs and traditional musical instrument performances. The most outstanding performances will be repeated at the National Folk Festival in Hanoi this April.
