(VOVWORLD) - These days, hundreds of trucks carrying Vietnamese agricultural products, mainly fresh fruit, are undergoing export procedures at the Friendship International Border Gate in Guangxi, China.
Vietnamese specialties such as durian, dragon fruit, jackfruit, mango, and passion fruit are increasingly popular among Chinese consumers and businesses.
In the first seven months of 2025, China remained the largest importer of Vietnamese farm produce, accounting for about 52.6% of total fruit and vegetable export, said the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Vietnam’s total fruit and vegetable exports were estimated at 3.92 billion USD, up 0.9% year-on-year.
Durian takes the lead with outstanding growth, followed by dragon fruit, jackfruit, watermelon, and banana. Key factors for Vietnamese agricultural products to win over Chinese consumers are quality and diversity.
