Vietnamese join hands to build smoke-free world

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam marks World No Tobacco Day (May 31) and National No Tobacco Week (May 25-31) with a meeting in Hanoi on Sunday, where Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Viet Tien called for effective enforcement of the law on tobacco harm prevention and activities.

He also called on everyone to quit smoking to protect the health of their family and community.

“We want to send a message to smokers to quit smoking today. Early smoking cessation is the most effective way to prevent tobacco-related diseases. Let's join hands to build a smoke-free world to protect our health and the health of our family and community”, said Tien.
