“We have advised Vietnamese guest workers to strictly comply with the host countries’ regulations including keeping hygiene and avoid traveling and crowded places. Those who come back to Vietnam must follow Vietnam’s quarantine regulations,” Dang Sy Dung, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese labor ministry’s Department of Overseas Labor told VOV.

Vietnamese agencies are working hard to sett up one liason office in each of 8 districts in Daegu city, an epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.

“We have been in close contact with Korean agencies for updates on regulations and policies regarding guest workers. We have also regularly updated Vietnamese workers in South Korea with information about the epidemic and are ready to give them full support,” said Le Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

South Korea on Saturday warned of a “critical moment” in its battle on coronavirus after recording the biggest daily jump in infections, as 813 new cases took the tally to 3,150.
