The event was held as part of an official visit to Vietnam by EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski. President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pham Tan Cong called on the EU to continue sharing information and experience and supporting Vietnam in developing green, modern, and sustainable agriculture.

"We also look forward to the EU’s assistance in human resources, infrastructure, and technology to build Vietnam’s technical agricultural standards close to international standards," said Mr. Cong.

Commissioner Wojciechowski said Vietnam has become an important partner of the EU in ASEAN following the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement in 2020.
