(VOV) – An annual defense seminar opened in New Delhi, India, from May 15-16 by the Vietnam Military Strategy Institute, the United Service Institution of India (USI), and the Indian Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses (IDSA). The Vietnamese delegation was led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Dinh Chien, Head of the Vietnam Military Strategy Institute. The dialogue serves as an important channel for both sides to share their experience in regional security. Chien said defense cooperation between Vietnam and India is entering a new period which is more effective and worthy of their strategic partnership. Through delegation exchanges and strategic defense dialogues, the two armies have built mutual trust and understanding, creating an impetus for further improvement.
