In an interview with a VOV correspondent in India,  Ambassador Chau said the visit takes place when bilateral ties are flourishing. “This is an opportunity for both sides to reflect on their efforts to boost the Vietnam-India relations and emphasize on issues to be resolved in the near future. For example, the opening of market for each other’s agricultural produce or asking India to continue supporting Vietnam in important issues related to sovereignty or trade and investment relations,” Mr.Chau said.

During her visit, Vice President Thinh will attend an inauguration ceremony for new direct flights Vietnam and India, the opening of VOV’s new bureau in India, and the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between VOV and the Indian News Agency ANI. Ambassador Chau described the event as a turning point in increasing Vietnam’s awareness of India and vice versa. He said “The opening of VOV Bureau in India plays an important role, contributing to the Vietnamese friends’ change of awareness on India.
