Vietnam-Republic of Korea relations develop in all fields

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met with Hur Nam-sik, visiting Mayor of Busan city of the Republic of Korea on Wednesday in Hanoi.

The two sides agreed that Vietnam-Republic of Korea relations have seen much progress in all fields since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992, which then developed into a strategic partnership in 2009. Mr. Minh asked Busan city to continue fostering and expanding cooperation with Ho Chi Minh city, as well as other localities in Vietnam. He expressed his hope that the Mayor and authority of Busan could support the Vietnamese community who study and work there. Mayor Hur Nam-sik affirmed that Busan city would exert more efforts to promote friendship and cooperation between the two cities and countries.

Earlier, Mr. Hur Nam-sik met with Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and attended a signing ceremony for an agreement on a global talent training program implemented by Busan, the Ministry of Education and Training, Busan Bank and other 5 universities in the Republic of Korea.
