(VOVworld) - The joint Vietnamese-Russian Tropical Center’s Scientific Council has celebrated its 25 th founding anniversary. Speaking at the anniversary in Moscow on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Viet Thanh, said the Vietnamese Government highly values the centre’s accomplishments over the past 25 years. He said it symbolized the traditional friendship and cooperation between the scientific communities of the two countries: " The strategic partnership requires us to invest more in human resource training. We need to expand scientific research to fully exploit the center ".

Under an agreement signed between Vietnam and Russia, the Center will operate until 2017.
