(VOVworld)- Vietnam has made positive and substantial contributions to building resolutions at the 27th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) which closed in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday. After three weeks of intensive work, the session adopted 32 resolutions and decisions and 4 Chairman statements and held 30 discussions on important issues related to human rights. Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh, Vietnamese permanent representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and other international organisations delivered a speech representing ASEAN at the opening session and many other speeches, which have received acclaim from participating countries. Vietnam’s active participation at the UN Human Rights Council demonstrates the Vietnamese government’s determination to promote human rights.
