Vietnam’s COVID-19 testing capacity improved
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s COVID-19 testing capacity has much improved, with around 31,000 samples tested per day, said Acting Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long.
He said the Health Ministry plans to test travelers returning from Da Nang, now Vietnam’s COVID-19 hotspot.
The Ministry has asked other areas to help Da Nang raise its testing capacity above 7,000 samples per day.
Mr. Long said: “Hanoi's Bach Mai hospital has set up 2 laboratories at Da Nang Hospital and Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases. Ho Chi Minh city’s Pasteur Institute and the Ministry of Public Security’s hospital are supporting mobile testing laboratories in Da Nang to increase the city’s COVID-19 testing capacity”.
