Vietnam’s educational achievements praised

(VOVworld) – Vietnam is attending the 2nd conference in Brussels on world funding for education to call for other countries’ support for Vietnam’s educational reforms. According to Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan, who heads the Vietnamese delegation to the conference, Vietnam promised to increase state investment in improving students’ academic results and teacher quality and ensuring gender equality in education.

1,000 participants from 60 countries described their educational achievements. Vietnam’s new school model (GPE-VNEN), in which students are encouraged to do more self-study while teachers act as supervisors, received applause.
