Vietnam’s export surplus reaches 3.8 billion USD in Q1

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam enjoyed an export surplus of nearly 3.8 billion USD in the first quarter of this year despite the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy, said the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The country’s total trade revenue in the first quarter hit nearly 123 billion USD, up 5.7% against the same period last year. In March, Vietnam earned 46 billion USD from trade transactions, an increase of 17% compared to February. The nearly 2 billion USD trade surplus achieved in February brought the country’s total surplus in three consecutive months to nearly 3.8 billion USD.
