Vietnam’s fight against corruption strengthened
(VOVWORLD) - The Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption held its 20th meeting in Hanoi on Thursday.

Chaired by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who is also Head of the Committee, the meeting reviewed the results of the fight against corruption over the past six months and set goals for the rest of the year. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong asked relevant agencies to accelerate the investigation and prosecution of cases focusing on Dong Nai, Binh Duong, HCM City and Khanh Hoa. He urged for the inspection and auditing of areas which are at risk of corruption. Mr. Trongs says 'The Steering Committee and all sectors need to join the fight against corruption. We need mobilize the public and the whole political system to achieve better results and overcome difficulties. It’s important to delegate jobs to grassroots level agencies and encourage the whole society to engage in the fight against corruption.'
