Khanh told the Vietnam News Agency in Geneva after Vietnam’s first Trade Policy Review that they considered Vietnam a successful story because of the achievements Vietnam has made since its WTO accession. They advised Vietnam to continue to refine its legal system, accelerate administrative reform - especially in investment, export, and import - strengthen the enforcement of intellectual property rights, and speed up the restructuring of state-owned enterprises. Khanh said Vietnam hopes to learn from experts’ recommendations to improve its legal framework and business environment. Vietnam considers this a chance to promote its image globally, show that it is serious about fulfilling its WTO commitments, and continue to improve its business environment, despite the global financial crisis.
