Tran Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Oil, Gas, and Coal Department said Vietnam will build 6 LNG warehouses with a capacity of 3 million tonnes per year and synchronize the pipeline network across the country. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade, the US Embassy, and American businesses. 

“We are seeking to learn from US experience in fine-tuning  policies ahead of construction of an LNG warehouse at the port of Thi Vai. The use of LNG helps ensure energy security and reduce environmental pollution in line with our international commitments in curbing CO2 emissions,” Mr. Tung said.
