(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in HCM city on Monday on the occasion of Vietnam’s 69th National Day and 45 years of implementing President Ho’s will. He was accompanied by Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang and the city leaders.
A photo exhibition on enhancing the spirit of the August Revolution in national construction and defense opened the same day in HCM city. The 200 photos on display examine the achievements of the people and army and HCM city in particular.
In Son La, a cultural festival of ethnic minority groups was held to mark this occasion. Thao A Say of Van Ho commune said: “The Mong and those of other ethnic groups have many festivals during the year but National Day is the most important. Every year, on September 2, we gather at the district center to make friends and learn new experience in developing the economy.”
